We have recently added a selection of picture books to our Read-alongs collection for kids, joining the existing collection of chapter book Read-alongs. Picture book titles include Llama Llama Red Pajama, The Day the Crayons Quit, Dragons Love Tacos, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. See the full list of picture book titles here.
Read-alongs are an intersection of books and audio and include a small audio player built into the book allowing your child to follow along on the page while the book is narrated. These can help children learn to and enjoy reading while building early literacy skills for the long term.
Find the collection along the wall between the windows in the Children’s Area. They are available for checkout to CAPL cardholders for three weeks and automatically renew twice if there are no holds pending, with a limit of 5 titles per card. To keep them in good working order, please return them to staff at the Service Center and not in the automated return in-takes or outside return slots. Thank you for your cooperation!
