Family Storytime
For children birth to age 6 with an adult. Stimulate your child’s senses through books, rhymes, music and movement. No registration required. Little ones get distracted easily, please help us maintain engagement by entering quietly if you arrive late.

Baby Storytime
Ages birth-18 months with an adult. Stories and songs for your littlest one. Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on. No older siblings, please. No registration required.
Saturdays from 11:30 am-12 pm

Sensory Storytime
Ages 3-10 with caregiver (and siblings 3 and up). This storytime program is intended for children on the spectrum, or children who find traditional storytime programs challenging. Limited to 10 registrants, in addition to their caregiver and sibling(s), children will have access to sensory materials and activities, a shorter story, repetition, and songs. Visual aids will show the order of activities. Registration required.

Miss Jill’s Vintage Storytime
Thursday, February 16, 6:30-7:15 pm
Families. Miss Jill has a collection of vintage children’s books that are just begging to be read! This month she will highlight books by the prolific author/illustrator Jack Kent. Bring the family for a cozy evening of fun and nostalgia- blankets, pillows, and PJ’s encouraged! Registration preferred, but walk ins welcome. Register


Early Literacy Play Spot

• 2 computers with interactive preschool learning games
• Light table and LEGO building table with toys (temporarily removed)
• Fun, skill-building interactive wall panels for preschoolers. We have two additional panels that we will swap out periodically. These panels were purchased by the Friends of the Cary Area Library.
• Puppet theater and assorted puppets for creative play, a building block of early literacy.
