New Let’s Talk Kits

To give families a starting point to talk about feelings, social skills, and life events, we have added 14 Let’s Talk Kits to our collection.

Each of the 14 kits includes books for both kids and parents/caregivers and an activity on a topic. Topics include shyness, grief, anger, bullying, divorce, and mindfulness. The kits can be found along the side wall in the Children’s Area, near the Theme Kits. The kits checkout to CAPL cardholders only for three weeks and renew twice if no holds are pending.

“National statistics show that youth mental health is declining. With these kits, we’re trying to help the community and support families through these difficult times.” – Becky Oberhauser, Assistant Director and Youth and Teen Services Manager.
